Lucid Support Services Celebrates 20th Year in Business

Lucid Support Services, based in Milton Keynes, celebrate their 20th Anniversary in April 2022, and have established themselves as a trusted provider of technical and IT project delivery and temporary recruitment services. Lucid partners with a range of customers from scale-up to global corporates, across the UK and internationally. They offer fast, reliable, and cost-effective partnerships to IT clients; supporting clients in bidding and winning tenders; provide up-to-date marketplace insight and evaluations and set up and maintaining a ‘virtual bench’ of pre-selected IT consultants and engineers for their clients to select from based on demand.

Lucid’s story began with Alun Jones, Managing Director, who has worked within Tech Project Delivery and IT Recruitment for over 25 years, having first learnt the trade within a Large UK Plc, starting as Business Development Executive and quickly being promoted to Team Leader and then New Business Sales Manager.

Alun established Lucid in 2002 with a small group of ex-colleagues, with the aim to provide top quality, time efficient and cost-effective solutions for companies in the IT Channel that needed additional technical staff, interim IT workers and project delivery consultants throughout the UK. Lucid began with a core team of four staff. Turnover grew every year for the first ten years and Lucid now has over 35 staff at their head office in Milton Keynes and over 200 consultants and engineers on client sites across the UK.

Lucid also support national fundraisers for small and leading charities including MK Food Bank, Breast Cancer Awareness, CRUK and Children in Need through to small Dog Rescue Centre’s.

Lucid recently partnered with ‘Sterlised Spaces’, who, utilizing their innovative technology to eliminate germs and viruses (Covid-19), have helped them incorporate continuous air and surface sterilisation. Lucid have a duty of care to provide safer spaces for our employees; increasing confidence to be back in the office and bring normality back to work!
